![]() Now, you have to know so much more and only on rare occasions be paid $120k - $140k. And think of the reward you get 25 years ago if you knew simple website languages, you could make $100k per year. I've learned that unless you just want to spend your life in front of a computer learning the NEW framework or language you shouldn't be in tech/software/web. My experiences have been pretty much the same through my last 15 years of tech. That company had layoffs and I soon found myself looking for a job and nobody would hire me because I did not have Angular or React knowledge. Then I was hired to do some front end work - mainly HTML, CSS, Javascript (rarely Javascript). When trying to get another PHP job nobody would hire me because of my lack of security knowledge. I learned on the job but no one ever taught me about security. Then I was given opportunity to be a PHP developer in the same company. For me, I started coding emails, testing in several clients to make sure things didn't break. This was a well needed addition given the nature of the software. The most recent update have added a host of security features ensuring that your account is protected from unauthorised logins and usage. Finally it can also be use for conferencing and remote presentations which can save time for those who work on the move like myself. The VPN service make it possible to network via the cloud and share network services. If you choose to install you can configure unattended access which keeps your system online and makes remotely connecting as simple as clicking on the remote pc's name. This makes it easy to remotely use access any computer and assist friends and family. They only need to download and run the install as software. ![]() The most awesome thing is that you don't even need to install their software to help someone. Its free for non-business use and the features for business are great. I have been using Teamviewer since 2011 and its uses far out scope its cost. For this reason Teamviewer is an awesome software. If you consistently work with multiple systems there are going to be times when you can't find something only for it to be on another system. Pros: For years now I have come to know one thing. The transfer also allows me to upload an exe to the server so I can test a particular feature/fix using the client's environment and database before actually releasing the change, under certain conditions, of course. This allows me to download log files from servers so I can review them at my own pace in my local machine. As a developer, my favorite and, perhaps, widely used feature is the secure file transfer. Our support staff are also able to collaborate with users by logging in to their computers via Teamviewer so users can show their questions or issues in our application through illustrations or by how they use the app - our support people can see live how while they're logged in via Teamviewer. ![]() It's ability to securely remote control the server is only a part of its many features that are essential to our business. It allowed us to manage, control, and setup our customer's servers, both those that are virtually in AWS and physical alike. Pros: Teamviewer is a critical tool for our daily support and software development.
